Natural Self‑Cleaning Basin

Innovation in non‑chlorine filtration for pools and decorative basins in Armenia.

Discover the Project

Project Overview

Our Natural Self-Cleaning Basin brings a pioneering non-chlorine filtration system to Armenia under the EU Circular Startup grant. The inaugural basin is currently under construction at our pilot site, where soil and water unite into a self-sustaining ecosystem.

It starts with just a simple idea, a glimpse into the future, suggesting what the water feature will look like and how it will transform the landscape. This is the location of our first project.

Project Plan

Green Zone Planning

The green zone integrates diverse elements to create a thriving, sustainable environment:

  1. [1] Wetland — a planted bio-zone for natural filtration.
  2. [2] Waterfall — dynamic water feature adding oxygen and movement.
  3. [3] Western Coastline — designed shoreline edge for access and aesthetics.
  4. [4] Aquatic Plants — submerged and emergent species supporting water clarity.
  5. [5] Shrubs — green buffer adding texture and privacy.
  6. [6] Water Lilies — surface plants providing shade and biodiversity.
  7. [7] Bamboo Corner — vertical greenery enhancing atmosphere and microclimate.

Key Construction Guidelines

Precise Step Geometry and Neatness

Build flat, uniform terraces (60×60 cm rule) with crisp 90° edges for stability and secure anchoring of rocks or plants.

Correct Slope on Walls

Tilt vertical faces outward by 5–10° to reduce collapse risk; in the deepest 2 m zone, maintain side slopes no steeper than 45° (1:1) or 33° (1:1.5), adapted for soil type.

Compaction of Step Surfaces

Compact each terrace manually or with a plate compactor—especially on clayey or loose soils—to prevent settling, liner tension, or deformation after filling.

Pumping Station

Pumping Station: The Heart of Circulation

Our pumping station is the heart of circulation — quietly filters, oxygenates, and maintains water balance.

  • Geotextile insulation
  • Geomembrane liner
  • Basalt wall reinforcement
